Halsey: Difference between revisions

Halsey was training his four Pokémon to put out a fire and rescue some people inside when {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} arrived after they noticed fire. He wasn't impressed with Watchog's interference even though he was saved when falling debris almost crushed him. Halsey wanted Watchog to do the job to be the lookout Pokémon, true to its species, instead of what he, his Dewott and Frillish were doing. This was proven true when Halsey assigned Watchog and Dewott an aptitude test as Watchog unsuccessfully put out a fire with {{m|Sand-Attack}}. Halsey then tries to reason with Watchog that the job as a lookout Pokémon is still best for it since Watchog had the ability to sense things.

He gets into a disagreement with {{an|N}} since N did not approve recruiting Pokémon for dangerous rescue efforts. In the middle of the disagreement, Halsey gets a call that the [[Virbank Complex]] is on fire and arrives. At first, he didn't allow Ash and the others to come with him since the task was dangerous but after some convincing done by them, Halsey allows them to come along. At the Virbank Complex, he was successfully able to get the kindergarteners out and tells them to go to the group. However, there were some workers still trapped and Halsey deals with the fire in the building while Ash, {{an|Iris}}, {{an|Cilan}} and N go to the rear of the complex to get the workers out. Inside the building, Halsey manages to put out the fire with his Dewott and Frillish but get trapped in a building when [[Jessie's Woobat]]'s stray {{m|Hidden Power}} hit the power transmission station. [[Ash's Oshawott]]'s Hydro Pump did not work as it caused two more explosions with the station. With Halsey trapped, he tells Ash and his friends to leave but Ash refused to do so as he wanted to put the fire out. Iris sends out her {{TP|Iris|Excadrill}} in order to {{m|dig}} a tunnel per Cilan's suggestion and to get Halsey out of there. However, Excadrill was unsuccessful at first since the rock that he was digging was too hard.

With the help of N and Halsey's Watchog, they were able to guide Excadrill through the areas that he could dig and rescue Halsey. Halsey was able to get out of the trapped building in time when Oshawott's Hydro Pump ran out of power and has his Dewott, Frillish and Watchog use Hydro Pump and Sand-Attack respectively. Unlike before, Watchog's Sand-Attack was able to put out the fire. After the task was done, he tells N that he was able to use Watchog's ability to guide Excadrill. Both sides then rethink their strategies with N giving a touching speech to Halsey and his Pokémon. Halsey than waves to the group and N his farewells with a promise given that he will bring out the best his team has.
