 Remoraid's talent for shooting attacks is similar to an {{wp|archerfish}}'s. Considering its relationship to {{p|Mantyke}} and {{p|Mantine}} it appears to also be based on a {{wp|remora}}. Its shooting abilities, general shape, and appearance make it similar to {{wp|firearm}}s, more specifically, {{wp|revolver}}s.
