After exploring through the island, they were attacked by a large number of them. {{an|Meloetta}} tried to calm them with her voice, which didn't seem to have any effect on the rampaging Onix. One Onix was calmed by the song though, which turned out to be the rare shiny Onix which Ash and {{ashfr}} were looking for. It appeared on top of a large rock and ordered the rampaging group of Onix to go away.}}
