* Tyranitar in the anime seem to be linked to [[Pokémon poacher|Pokémon poachers]]. Three poachers owned a Tyranitar while another sought after one.
* The Tyranitar from the [[M04|4th movie]] shares the same roar with {{mov|Dialga}} from movies [[M10|10]], [[M11|11]] and [[M12|12]].
* Tyranitar is the only pseudo-legendary Pokémon that isn't used by someone in the [[Pokémon World Tournament]] [[Champions Tournament]] (Steven uses Metagross, Cynthia uses Garchomp, and Lance uses Dragonite, Salamence, and Hydreigon).
