Professor Rowan arrives at the Pokémon League thinking about how far Hareta has come, wondering if he might have what it takes to win the tournament. He then considers the fact that Hareta is the son of "that man", and that if anyone could do it, it would be him. After Hareta and the Professor have a short reunion, the matches continue as both Hareta and Koya plow their way through the competition. Shortly before his match with Hareta comes up, Koya speaks to someone over a communications device in an empty hallway regarding his "mission", mentioning that just as he thought, the target is with Professor Rowan. However, Mitsumi overhears the conversation and takes the opportunity to confront Koya.
