Although Pokerus is not known to cause death within the main series games, there have been extremely rare cases in which once the infected Pokemon reaches Lv.99, the infected Pokemon mysteriously disappears from where ever the Pokemon is within the party. This signifies that that the infected Pokemon is now 'gone' for good. But this has only happened through hacked games, so it is highly unlikely that a Pokemon actually dying form Pokerus in a main series game is possible, therefore, death by Pokerus is unconfirmed. | |||
