Now that you've made it to Cerulean, you need to track down the thief with the generator part. <br> None of the residents seem suspicious, so let's see if Misty can help out.

As soon as you enter the Cerulean Gym, a figure in black slams into you.  His clothing is suspicious enough, so follow him back outside.  The thug ran off north towards the cape, and you'll find him on Nugget Bridge.
A man in a dark uniform runs into you when you enter the Gym, and he babbles aimlessly for a minute before running offFollow him north from the city to find him on Nugget Bridge.

After a quick defeat, he gives up the location of the hidden List of key items in Generation II.  Evidently, he hid it in the waters of the Cerulean Gym.  Search inside the enclosed part of the Gym's walkway, and you'll finally recover the stolen part.  Take it back to the Power Plant's manager.

Defeated, he gives up the location of the List of key items in Generation II.  He claims that he hid it in the waters of the Cerulean Gym.  Search inside the enclosed part of the Gym's walkway to finally recover the stolen part.

Return to the Power Plant
Return to the Power Plant
After thanking you for retrieving the machinery, the manager will reward you with 07, an inaccurate move that is guaranteed to paralyze if it hits the target.
For retrieving the machinery, the manager will reward you with 07, a powerful but inaccurate move.  With the region's power supply restored, you can tie up some loose ends.

Now that power is restored to Kanto, you can backtrack to a few side objectives:

* Stop back in Saffron, and visit the Copycat's house northwest of Silph Co.  She asks you to retrieve her Poké Doll, which she thinks she lost in Vermilion City.  Return to Vermilion, and stop by the Pokémon Fan Club.  Talk to the guy next to the "Clefairy" to obtain the List of key items in Generation II.  Return it to the Copycat, and she'll reward you with the List of key items in Generation II, the ticket needed to board the Magnet Train.  With power restored and ticket in hand, you're finally able to ride the train between regions!

* Back in Lavender Town, stop by the Radio Tower and talk to the Director by the north wall.  Since you were able to restore power, he didn't lose his job.  He gives you the EXPN Card for your Pokégear as thanks.
* Saffron City: Visit the Copycat's house northwest of the Silph Co. building.  She asks that you find her Battle item that she believes is lost in Vermilion.  Stop in the Fan Club and talk to the man with the "Clefairy" to retrieve the List of key items in Generation II.  Return it to the girl to get the List of key items in Generation II, the ticket to board the Magnet Train.
* Lavender Town: Stop in the Radio Tower and talk to the guy at the north wall.  Since the power's back on, he didn't lose his job.  He gives you the Pokégear for your Pokégear as thanks.

Even with the power back on, Misty is still missing.  To find her, travel north to 24 & 25.
The power is back on, but Misty is still missing.  To find her, travel north towards Cerulean Cape.

Once you battle past the first six Trainers, talk to Cooltrainer Kevin to receive a Nugget.
24 consists of little more than Nugget Bridge, while 25 has a team of Trainers to fight.  When you defeat the six of them, talk to Cooltrainer Kevin to receive a Valuable item.

Since you ruined her personal time, Misty has no choice but to return to the Gym. The Cerulean Gym specializes in Waters — not surprising, as the Gym itself is a large swimming pool.  Electric- and Grasss will work best here, and Grass-type attacks are especially useful against Misty's Quagsire.  Look out for Quagsire's Earthquake  and Lapras' Blizzard.
Since you ruined her personal time, Misty has no choice but to return to the Gym.

The Cerulean Gym features a large swimming pool, and not surprisingly, the Trainers here specialize in Water Pokémon.  This is also the only Gym where you can fish for Pokémon.  Grass- and Electric attacks will inflict double the damage against most of the Pokémon here.  Fire-, Ground-, and Rock Pokémon can't stand water, so they'll have to sit this one out.

A Thunderbolt or two will take out Misty's Golduck and Starmie, but be wary of Starmie's Recover. Her Lapras is also vulnerable to Fighting- and Steel attacks.  A Grass Pokémon is best suited to fight her Quagsire, as it is immune to electricity.  Watch out for Lapras' Blizzard and Quagsire's Earthquake.

That's everything to do in the city, so now go south to 5.
