Lunatone's Ability, {{a|Levitate}}, allows it to avoid {{type|Ground}} moves such as {{m|Earthquake}} or {{m|Magnitude}}. Its powerful red eyes also fill the onlooker with fear. It is capable of reading the thoughts of other lifeforms like most psychic types. It is even capable of brainwashing, but only does this when it feels threatened and usually as a last resort. Its psychic powers can grow stronger under the light of the full moon. It is said that if Lunatone is exposed to moonlight for enough time its psychic powers will grow stronger than those of an Alakazam.
