:Yeah, you have to be autoconfirmed to edit that page. Unless the system's changed since I signed up some years ago, you have to click on a link in an email sent to you to become autoconfirmed. I think the edits you have to make to create a userpage could have something to do it now, but I could be wrong (that rule wasn't in place when I signed up). Your willingness to help is impressive.
