Does it copy the target's ability? I was battling a ditto recently, and i paralized it after it transformed. If it didn't copy the ability, then it would've still had limber and wouldn't have been able to be paralized, right? Morgil27 03:55, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

: Yes. Ditto using Transform will also copy the target Pokémon's ability. I recently tested this by using a Ditto against a Growlithe with the Flash Fire ability, transforming and waiting for the Growlithe to use Ember. Ember was subsequently canceled out as Ditto had copied the Flash Fire ability. This clashes with the effect listed under Generation III as Transform does copy abilities from that generation. --Issaru (talk) 18:55, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
