[[Blaine]]'s quiz machines were destroyed, so there are no puzzles here to solve. The Gym Leader is a {{type|Fire}} Krabbyspecialist, so you may want to bring a few {{DL|Status ailment healing item|Burn Heal}}s. All three of his Pokémon are susceptible to {{t|Water}}- and {{type|Ground}} moves, but his {{p|Magcargo}} is especially vulnerable. Though his Pokémon are at respectable levels, they still shouldn't pose much of a threat. However, Water Pokémon should still be careful of {{p|Magmar}}'s {{m|ThunderPunch}}.

{{ga|Blue}} is the only Gym Leader that does not have a preferred type; instead, he uses the team he had during his time as Champion. He has the most diverse team of all the Gym Leaders, so defeating him is not going to be easy. Use {{type|Electric}} attacks to take down his {{p|Pidgeot}} and {{p|Gyarados}}, {{type|Water}} attacks for his {{p|Rhydon}} and {{p|Arcanine}}, and {{t|Ghost}}- or {{type|Dark}} attacks for {{p|Alakazam}} and {{p|Exeggutor}}. Restore your Pokémon's health often to protect against Gyarados' {{m|Hyper Beam}}, Exeggutor's {{m|SolarBeam}}, and Rhydon's {{m|Earthquake}}.
