Thunderclouds appear, and Brycen says this means that Volcarona is being attacked by Rinzō. Rinzō orders his {{p|Jellicent}} to use {{m|Confuse Ray}} which confuses Volcarona. Volcarona snaps out of confusion and uses {{m|Flamethrower}}, Jellicent counters with {{m|Hydro Pump}} and confuses it again and captures Volcarona. The gang comes to the scene to discover Volcarona has been caught. Ash scans his [[Pokédex]] on Volcarona. Brycen orders Rinzō to stop this now, but Rinzō simply rejects Brycen's order.
