Which is incorrect... in Red and Blue they are specifically referred to as "item balls". I don't know about in other games, but I assume that this concept doesn't change. Should it be mentioned that back in Generation I, it was commonly (falsely) believed that certain button presses with the correct timing would cause a regular Poké Ball to function as a Great Ball or Ultra Ball?
