::I know that I'm posting this three years later, but I just tried the glitch and it is real. It's a Select button glitch like the Dokokashira door glitch. What you do is put a Magikarp into the 1st slot in your party, then go into Items and press Select on the 13th item, then press B twice. Then get into a battle and go to switch Pokémon, and press A next to Magikarp. It will become Mew. However, I would highly advise against doing this (especially now that the Mew glitch allows you to get a Mew), as this causes major glitches and messes up the Pokédex, items, and possibly other things. Mew's name becomes a string of seemingly random characters, and (on my game at least), her ID No. and Original Trainer change as well so you can't rename her. She does not have Mew's attacks (I don't know what determines her attacks... in my game she got Fire Punch). I'm not sure if her stats are correct or not, but her HP is glitched, and she has a ton of experience (sending her into battle will level her up to level 101). | |||
