Eelektross has no elemental weakness. They are capable of using their arms to crawl out of the ocean and their sucker mouths to suck in prey.

Unlike its pre-evolved forms, Eelektross has a very wide moveset. It can learn [[Flamethrower]] to counter grass types, and is the only non-legendary electric type to be able to use [[Dragon]] moves like [[Dragon Claw]]. It can also learn [[Flash Cannon]], [[Acrobatics]] and [[Rock Slide]], moves that few other electric types can use.
