Ash competed in the [[Don Battle]] in [[BW039]]-[[BW042]]. He battled against [[Burgundy]] and her {{p|Stoutland}} in the first round and won using his {{AP|Palpitoad}}. He then battled [[Langley]] and her {{p|Pawniard}} in [[BW040]]. Ash used his {{AP|Snivy}}. Altough she struggled at first, Snivy managed to defeat Pawniard and advance Ash to the next round. Next, in [[BW042]], Ash battled [[Dino]] and his {{p|Darumaka}} with his Palpitoad again and won easily. In the final round, Ash went up against {{an|Iris}} and her {{TP|Iris|Excadrill}}.
