 Over there, you see Grovyle next to Dusknoir, all tied up.  All people from Treasure Town are watching, and even a few Pokémon who missed the beginning are coming now.  Magnezone and his crew are looking quite proud of themselves.  Dusknoir talks about life, and how it will be calm for a few days...and that Dusknoir will have to return from where he came from, along with Grovyle.  People get upset that Dusknoir is leaving, including you and your partner, who owe him so much for protecting them.  However...Dusknoir grabs you and thrusts you in the portal along with him and Grovyle!

-When you arrive, it's extremely dark.  Dusknoir is shown bossing around a bunch of Sableye.  They tie you up, along with Grovyle.  Your partner asks if this is some kind of trick, but Dusknoir laughs cruelly and continues to boss the Sableye.  Your partner asks Grovyle where they are, and this was the future.

-Your partner gets extremely surprised and asks Grovyle is he's pulling a trick on you and him/her as well as Dusknoir.  Grovyle laughs softly and says that Dusknoir is the bad guy.  The reason why Grovyle had been stealing Time Gears was to prevent the future from becoming doomed, so the present could also have time flowing by putting the Time Gears in Temporal Tower.  He then makes a way of escape, helping you as well.
-He leaves you and your partner once you get fairly out of the "jail".  Your partner calls after him, but no avail.  Your partner decides to go and follow him...leading you in an extremely dark place, called Chasm Cave!
