In order to obtain the Pokemon that are transferred, the player must play a minigame where the player launches Pokeballs at the pokemon to capture them as they jump out of patches of grass. There is a time limit and if the player does not catch all the pokemon within the time limit, they have the option to transfer the pokemon they did catch or try again. Two Nintendo DS's are required to play this minigame to transfer pokemon from Generation IV. | |||
