I made my own profile for my imagination, which more resembles my favorite teams then my real ones. basically Ash met me in Hoenn which was where I was working on getting the eight badges for the Hoenn League. I had already came in first in the Indigo league and the Johto League. Every new region I would start over and get a new starter pokemon from that respective region.
