I believe the nature is set upon your first encounter with the Shadow Pokémon, not when it is snagged.  For example, I defeated Snattle's Lunatone, which sent it to Miror B.  I then used soft resetting to attempt to capture one of the nature I desired, but all three times I tried the nature remained the same.  Could someone double-check this, please?--JacobCrystal 17:11, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

:I can confirm that it's upon meeting the Pokemon, rather than when catching them. Everything is set in stone the moment they're sent out into battle. Your Shadow List will record any Pokemon's Gender that you see, so everything else is set at that point.--Purimpopoie 17:27, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

Non-Shadow Moves
i thought using non-shadow moves also helped the shadow meter go down as well, it always seems to help with me anyway. Buizel1991 22:16, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
