The Wii Shop Channel is a channel on the Wii that allows the downloading of games using Wii Points. There are three different categories: Virtual console, WiiWare, and channels.
The Nintendo Channel is a free downloadable channel on the Wii Shop Channel for the Wii. It is a channel that shows videos for different games and a DS Download Service that lets you download temporary demos to someone's Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite. The DS Download Service is not compatible with the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL.  It only shows games for the Wii, WiiWare, DS, and DSiWare.
