ok so everyone is saying mew cannot learn the move except for fake games or cheating devices then how come they give you a mystery gift mew that has draco meteor and the pokemon is not able to learn it in the actual game and the pure fact that it could not learn frenzy plant blast burn or hydro cannon why can the creators self contradict their own work in making or doing such a thing and why can jirachi learn the move if it mainly can only be taught to dragon types and not psychic does any one know how to sort that out or even try to point this out in their discussion of this topic. :First off, this conversation ended two years before you posted. Please do not add to a conversation more than six months old, per the talk page policy. Second of all, some event Pokémon such as the Jirachi and Mew you mentioned) are given moves that they specifically cannot learn through regular means, as a way to add to their rarity. The creators are not contradicting themselves, they are just giving out rare Pokémon with unique moveset possibilities.--RiverAura 23:16, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

quick question about that and this is bc my game data had to be retarted so i no longer have a mew but in the later games cant mew learn the move sketch from a move tutor like you can do with smeargle or is it just that impossible and the pokedex contradicts the very game it exists in? [FrostX]

:Sketch was never a move tutor move. Only Smeargle can learn it, and Smeargle learn it through leveling up. P.S. If you are going to use "retarded" in a derogatory fashion, at least have the decency to spell it properly.--RiverAura 23:16, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
