 Ralph lives on [[Mandarin Island South]] with his {{p|Nidoran♂}}, Tony. While living on the island, Ralph had an ongoing rivalry with {{Oi|Emily}}, who always tied with him in all the competitions they competed in. In one of their latest competitions, Tony fell in love with Emily's {{p|Nidoran♀}}, Maria. However, because Ralph and Emily couldn't stand each other, Tony wasn't able to see Maria.
