 In ''[[AG091|Lessons in Lilycove]]'', Grumpig is used in the [[Lilycove City]] [[Pokémon Contest]], where in the [[Appeals Round]] it used [[Contest Combination|its Psychic and Bounce]] to do an amazing trick with Pokéblock. Kelly got through along with May and [[Jessie]] (disguised) to the next round, Kelly and Grumpig made it to the finals knocking out worthy opponents including Jessie, it went up against May and her {{p|Combusken}} but lost earning May her [[Ribbon|third Ribbon]].
