Reread Nescientist's changes to the first paragraph. The rewording means the stat theft only happens if it does damage (i.e. not if it misses or the target is immune). It can maybe be clearer, though. This isn't elegant but it's clearer.
Undo revision 2675023 by Nescientist (talk) What? All you did was delete the detail without mentioning it at all.
→Effect: I think that's the best solution (evasion isn't the only thing affecting "miss" etc.)
→In other languages: "If Battle Effects are turned off, Spectral Thief will still display one if it steals any stat boosts." (I was going to put it in the article summary, but then I felt it should go here instead)

→Effect: Not sure if we even need all this (could we simply say "if it misses", period?).
→Effect: I'd like to thank Creyni from gamefaqs.com for trading me the Marshadow to make my experiments possible.

→Effect: Talk page suggests that Normal-types are effected if Marshadow has Scrappy; +makes more sense wrt Electrify.

→Effect: This is getting to be a bit of a big paragraph, so I'm breaking it up into paragraphs: core function, details about stat boosts, details about who it can steal from. All the research questions should go in the last one, I think.

Special Z-Moves go in the lede rather than the effects section, per Tiddlywinks' precedent at http://bit.ly/2j2vSCI.
