(Japanese: ソウル Soul) is the main character in Pokémon HeartGold SoulSilver: Pokédex Completion Comic.
History
Somewhere in the Johto region, Soul encountered a Sentret. He attempted to catch it, but failed as it dodged the thrown Poké Ball. A female Trainer then questioned Soul as to what he was doing. She then taught Soul how to properly catch a Pokémon by battling it after he failed to catch another Sentret. Soul then decided to catch a Bellsprout using the Trainer's advice, but he accidentally defeated it. When Soul encountered a wild Growlithe, Soul tried again and succeeded in weakening Growlithe, and then caught it.
After catching Growlithe, Soul saw that there wasn't anymore wild Pokémon but the female Trainer told him other methods of finding some. In the process, Soul and the female Trainer encountered a wild Steelix. Soul had a hard time with Steelix since it was huge. The female Trainer gave Soul a Heavy Ball to use on Steelix. With Cyndaquil using Flamethrower, Soul threw the Heavy Ball and caught Steelix. Afterwards, he and the Trainer went off to continue completing the rest of the Pokédex.

| Cyndaquil is Soul's first known Pokémon. He sent it out to battle various Pokémon in order to catch them. It was also used to Headbutt a tree in order to find more wild Pokémon to catch.
Cyndaquil's known moves are Ember, Tackle, Headbutt, and Flamethrower. | ||
