Release information

This card was released in the Undaunted expansion, originating as one of the Japanese L-P Promotional cards. In Japan, this card was released as part of a Domino's Pizza promotion in two phases, the first of which ran from October 26 to December 10, 2009. Customers who purchased an Exciting Pokémon Pack during this period received this card, a Slowbro card and "Domino's Pizza Original Book of Secrets" with their order. The accompanying book features cards from the HeartGold and SoulSilver Collection. The second phase ran from December 11, 2009 to January 14, 2010. Customers who purchased an Exciting Pokémon Pack during this period received this card, a Slowking card and a set of card sleeves with their order. The Japanese print features the Domino's Pizza logo in the bottom left corner of the card.

Trivia

The text in the Rambunctious Party attack differs between the first Japanese release and the second. The print released during the first phase of the promotion features たね, Basic, in the regular font, whereas the print released during the second phase features the rectangular graphic used on cards with attacks referencing Basic Pokémon throughout the HeartGold & SoulSilver Era.

Origin

Rain Splash's Japanese name is that of Soak, a Field Move in the Pokémon Ranger series. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon SoulSilver.
