Sinnoh first partner Pokémon
The Sinnoh first partner Pokémon are the trio of Pokémon—Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup[1]—chosen by Trainers at the start of their journey in Sinnoh. These are traditionally given out by Professor Rowan and are to be used to battle the first wild Pokémon that the Trainer encounters.
In official contexts, the group is referred to descriptively in several ways, including "Sinnoh first partner Pokémon"[2], "first partner Pokémon of the Sinnoh region"[1], and more.
In the Sinnoh-based core series games, the player can choose a Fire-, Water-, or Grass-type first partner Pokémon at level 5.

- It has the lowest base Speed stat out of all first partner Pokémon.
- Turtwig is the only first partner Pokémon to know a stat-raising move when initially received as a player's first Pokémon.
