The Season of Heritage (Japanese: シーズンのヘリテージ Season of Heritage) was the fifth Season in the GO Beyond Update from Pokémon GO. It ran from December 1, 2021 at 10:00am to March 1, 2022 at 10:00am local time and was the first Season to have a logo. This season marked the debut of Apex Shadow Pokémon, Shadow Pokémon created by Team GO Rocket Leader Arlo, who used mysterious power stolen from behind the mysterious door. So far, only two Apex Shadow Pokémon, Apex Shadow Ho-Oh and Apex Shadow Lugia, were available. It followed the Season of Mischief and was followed by the Season of Alola.
