Searing Shot (Japanese: かえんだん Flame Bomb) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move introduced in Generation V. It is one of the signature moves of Victini.

Effect

Generation V to VII

Searing Shot deals damage and has a 30% chance to burn the target. It does not affect opponents with Bulletproof.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Sword and Shield

From Versions 1.0 to 1.2.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Searing Shot could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.3.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in previous generations.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Searing Shot cannot be selected in a battle.

Generation IX

Searing Shot cannot be selected in a battle.

Description

Games Description BWB2W2 An inferno of scarlet flames torches everything around the user. It may leave the target with a burn. XYORAS The user torches everything around it with an inferno of scarlet flames. This may also leave those hit with a burn. SMUSUM SwShLA SV The user torches everything around it in an inferno of scarlet flames. This may also leave those it hits with a burn. BDSP This move can't be used. It's recommended that this move is forgotten. Once forgotten, this move can't be remembered.
