Satomi Nakamura

Satomi Nakamura (Japanese: 中村里美 Satomi Nakamura) is an author and artist from Japan born in the Gifu Prefecture on January 26. Nakamura's first known Pokémon-related work is the Pokémon 4koma DX manga released in 1996. Nakamura is best known for authoring and illustrating the Pokémon Zensho manga as it follows the plot of Pokémon Red and Blue closer to any other manga while also giving each character their own unique personality compared to their appearance in the games.

Between 1991 until 2001, Nakamura has published numerous 4koma manga as part of Futabasha publishing, particularly in the 4koma Manga Kingdom series and was even considered the main writer for the 4koma Manga Kingdom series. Nakamura's non-Pokémon related works from the 4koma manga include many video game series such as the games related to the Super Mario franchise and Street Fighter II where the last 4koma comic Nakamura is known to publish was the strip for Mario Party 3. Publishing companies Nakamura has been affiliated with are Shogakukan and Softbank Group, the former in charge of publishing the Pokémon Zensho manga and Senryu Encyclopedia and the latter publishing the Pokémon 4Koma DX manga. Nakamura has also been an anime director for the Negima! Magister Negi Magi series where the film was titled Mahō Sensei Negima: Anime Final!.
