Samantha

Samantha (Japanese: サヨリ Sayori) is a character of the day who appeared in Once in a Mawile when the group was traveling across Izabe Island.
She is a performer who does routines with ribbons. Samantha owns a Mawile that has many crushes, as it fell for Brock's Lombre. Lombre was uninterested, much to the dismay of Brock, who wanted to use the attraction to get closer to Samantha. After evolving into Ludicolo, it saw Mawile in a new light, but by that time, Mawile had already moved on to a Psyduck.
For some reason, Samantha had a Water Stone in her backpack, which was what allowed Lombre to evolve.

| Mawile is Samantha's only known Pokémon. It was always seen outside its Poké Ball.
It fell in love with Brock's Lombre, but Lombre did not show a mutual interest. In turn, Mawile did not reciprocate Corphish's own feelings for it. After Lombre evolved into a Ludicolo, Mawile lost interest despite Ludicolo changing its ways. Instead, Mawile fell in love with a passing Trainer's Psyduck. Mawile was also shown to be a very elegant dancer as it was seen practicing with Samantha for a performance. Mawile's known moves are Bite, Solar Beam, and Focus Punch. | ||
