Release information

This card was included as a Regular card and a Full Art illustration rare card in the Japanese Mega Brave expansion. The Regular print features artwork by hncl, while the Full Art illustration rare print features artwork by GOSSAN. The Regular print was included in the Mega Evolution expansion, while the illustration rare print was released as an MEP Black Star Promo in the Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Box on September 26, 2025; a second version with the Pokémon Center logo above the Retreat Cost was included in the Mega Evolution Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box, released on the same day.

In Japan, the Regular print of this card is reprinted as an M-P Promotional print and is distributed as part of a McDonald's Japan campaign running from August 9 - 11, 2025. Customers who have bought a Pokémon Happy Meal set during this period are eligible to receive a Pikachu promo card and 1 random promo card selected from the following: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Ralts, and Riolu.[1] The M-P Promotional print features the McDonald's logo.

The Regular print is reprinted in the Ascended Heroes special expansion, originating from the Japanese MEGA Dream ex subset. Each release has two Mirror Holofoil variants featuring either a Fighting Energy symbol or a Friend Ball.
