This card was included as a Regular card and a Full Art illustration rare card in the Paldea Evolved expansion, first released in the Japanese Triplet Beat subset. Both prints feature artwork by Souichirou Gunjima. The Regular print was reprinted, alongside a new Shiny rare print with artwork by Atsushi Furusawa, in the Japanese Shiny Treasure ex subset. The Shiny rare print was released as a SVP Black Star Promo available in the Paldean Fates Quaquaval ex Premium Collection from February 9, 2024.
The illustration rare print is one of numerous cards to feature an illustration that is part of a narrative. Following from the Quaxly card, the Quaxly has evolved into a Quaxwell, who is fixing its crest in front of a mirror. A soap dispenser designed after Poliwhirl can be seen. The scene continues on the Quaquaval ex card.
