Mini-games

Once the player's Pokémon Love Level reaches certain thresholds, they unlock 4 mini-games to play. The first 3 mini-games keep track of your high score.

Let's Roll

Let's Roll (Japanese: ころがっていこう) is a mini-game where you play as a Voltorb rolling through a field. As the Voltorb rolls, rocks of various sizes that serve as obstacles appear and you have to move the Voltorb left and right to avoid them. Colliding with a rock will result in an immediate game over. You gain points over time. Every once in a while a Magnemite will float around screen and if the Voltorb touches it then the Voltorb will begin to roll faster, allowing you to break through rocks until the effect wears off.

Don't Stop the Music

Don't Stop the Music (Japanese: ミュージックをとめないで) is a mini-game where you play as a Pikachu keeping a boombox and 4 speakers working. Over time the speakers and boombox will start to malfunction and you have to move the Pikachu and shock the malfunctioning devices to fix them. You gain points for every device that you fix. If a device malfunctions for too long, then you will get a game over.

Teach Me, Hoothoot-sensei

Teach Me, Hoothoot-sensei (Japanese: おしえてホーホーせんせい) is a mini-game where you play as a Hoothoot and have to follow along with the poses performed by another Hoothoot. You get points for every pose that you get right. Every pose that you get wrong takes away one of your lives, and when you lose all 5 lives, then you get a game over.

Pikachu's 100,000 Volts

Pikachu's 100,000 Volts (Japanese: ピカチュウの10万ボルト) is a mini-game where you have to help a Pikachu produce 100,000 volts of electricity by holding and rapidly dragging your mouse over it. You only have a limited amount of time to generate electricity, and if you have not generated 100,000 volts when the timer runs out, then you will have to start over from the beginning.

This mini-game is referred to as a "special game" and is not hinted at on the menu until you have unlocked Teach Me, Hoothoot-sensei.
