Pixilate (Japanese: フェアリースキン Fairy Skin) is an Ability introduced in Generation VI.

Effect

In battle

Generation VI

Pixilate causes all Normal-type moves used by the Pokémon to become Fairy-type and receive a 30% power boost. It overrides Ion Deluge and Electrify.

Generation VII

Affected moves now receive a 20% power boost.

Generation VIII

Pixilate no longer overrides Electrify. If Max Strike is selected with Pixilate, it will turn into Max Starfall when used.

Affected moves

The table below lists the moves affected by Pixilate, as well as the Pokémon that can have Pixilate and learn those moves.

Although the following moves are affected by the Ability, they currently cannot be learned by any Pokémon with Pixilate. They may, however, be called via Metronome, Mirror Move, Copycat, or Mimic, or be used by a Pokémon that gained Pixilate by an Ability like Trace or Receiver or a move such as Skill Swap or Role Play.

Outside of battle

Pixilate has no effect outside of battle.
