The Show (Japanese: ザ・ショウ The Show) is the seventh episode of Pokémon Evolutions. It was first released on The Pokémon Company International's official English YouTube channel, Pokémon TV, and The Pokémon Company's official Japanese YouTube channel on December 16, 2021.

Outfits...lights...makeup! The curtain rises on the Kimono Girls as they perform a tale of Johto’s Legendary Pokémon!

Plot

At Ecruteak City, a festival is held to commemorate the two towers in the city as the Kimono Girls prepare for their evening performance. Naoko, in particular, feels pressured to put on a good show as a vast audience gathers, including Morty the Gym Leader and his Gengar.

As the show begins, a projected image of Lugia and Ho-Oh appears on the curtains. The curtains pull back to play a projected animation while Zuki begins the story: centuries prior, the citizens of Ecruteak constructed two nine-tiered towers: the Bell Tower and the Brass Tower, atop of which Ho-Oh and Lugia respectively roosted. Stagehands and Pokémon above in the rafters help to provide visual and sound effects as Zuki describes the communal relationship shared between the people and Pokémon in the Johto region, until one fateful night 150 years ago. She releases her Umbreon, who uses Moonlight to illuminate the stage.

Stepping out of the wings, Sayo recalls that a powerful lightning storm hit the city, sending out her Jolteon to join a group of Magneton to put on an electrical display with Thunderbolt. She adds that one thunderbolt in particular hit the Brass Tower and set it on fire, as Miki is raised onto the stage via a platform with her Flareon, who uses Heat Wave to portray the inferno that ensued. Miki adds that Lugia tried to use its winds to put out the blaze and prevent it from spreading through the city, but to no avail. Kuni takes to the stage, revealing that Lugia summoned a rain storm to put out the fire instead, sending out her Vaporeon to use its Water Gun to clash with Flareon's Flamethrower. As a Smokescreen from a Weezing and a Koffing fills the stage, Miki collapses to portray the extinguishing.

As the sun rises on the city, Naoko takes her role with Espeon, using its Morning Sun to shine upon the stage. She then states that Lugia flew away from the tower, distraught by the destruction wrought by the fire. It now sleeps beneath the ocean waves, waiting for someone pure of heart so it might return one day, and thus the city maintains the Burned Tower in its dilapidated state as a token of remembrance. The sisters bow at the conclusion of their performance, receiving a standing ovation that reassures Naoko of her role.

Beneath the waters surrounding the Whirl Islands, Lugia moves as if in response to the Kimono Sisters' story.
