Pokédex entry
This Pokémon lives quietly in the depths of the forest. The purple, cape-like fur gets longer and longer as Oranguru ages.
森の奥で 静かに 暮らす。 マントのような 紫の 毛は 歳を 重ねるほどに 長くなる。

Rulings

  • If Oranguru uses its "Now You're in My Power" attack on a Pokémon that has no Weakness (eg. Dragon-type Pokémon), it will give the Defending Pokémon a ×2 Weakness to Colorless,[1] despite the written text on the English card stating "The amount of Weakness doesn't change." This is because the original Japanese text actually says [弱点は「×2」でダメージ計算をする。], [Apply Weakness as ×2 for damage calculation.]
    • If Oranguru uses its "Now You're in My Power" attack while Kabutops from 151 is in play, Kabutops's "Ancient Way" Ability makes it so that the applied Weakness to Colorless is ×4 instead.[2]
