Synopsis of original version

The 2 frames on the left show By Your Side ~Hikari's Theme~. Dawn is shown in different poses, along with Ash's hat and Pikachu's ear. She strikes a pose, displaying her Pokétch, which transitions into Dawn catching a coin with her previous pose. Dawn is looking at the sky with Ash, Brock and their Pokémon. Piplup is on Dawn's shoulder, and they smile. Brock, Ash and Pikachu look at a fountain while Dawn watches Piplup eat. Ash, Pikachu, Brock and Dawn are looking at a Pokémon Contest poster. Piplup, Pikachu and Dawn appear on the screen in rapid order. She smiles at the camera, and an image of the group running with their Pokémon appears. Dawn winks at the camera, and an image of Dawn wearing her Contest attire is seen with everyone else and their Pokémon in the background. She is serious, then an image of the group jumping appears. The group is running with a mountain backdrop, as the group jumps the background changes to a valley with a waterfall and rainbow. Dawn looks at the camera, then she poses with her friends. She winks at the camera, then Team Rocket is seen digging a hole. She is serious, then she appears jumping, with a Poké Ball in hand. Dawn, Ash and Brock are running again. Then, they, Team Rocket, Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny are smiling at the camera.
The 2 frames on the right show Together. Ash, Pikachu, Brock and Dawn are on the top of a tree while flying Pokémon, like Altaria, Fearow and Murkrow, along with non-Flying types like Misdreavus are flying in the background. A Chatot flies near the camera. On a tree's branches, three Cherrim, a Kricketot, a Pachirisu, a Burmy and a Budew are dancing with happy faces. Ash and his friends are chasing a Glameow in a city. The Glameow runs towards an alley. Then, they are crossing a Bibarel's dam and exploring a dark cave, where they find a Drapion. Images of Ash, Dawn and Brock with their Pokémon appear. Then, an image featuring Professor Oak, Tracey, Delia and Mimey appears, followed quickly by images of Johanna, Professor Rowan, Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny and a Super Contest. Then, with a picture of Paul with a serious face as a background, Ash sends out Turtwig, Staravia, Pikachu and Buizel, showing their moves Razor Leaf, Wing Attack, Volt Tackle, and Aqua Jet, respectively. Ash and Paul are fiercely looking at each other, standing with their Pokémon. Dawn sends out Piplup and Buneary, from two Poké Balls inside of capsules. Dawn and Zoey appear, and then Team Rocket does, smiling, with their Pokémon. Ash and his friends are riding jet skis while Mantyke and Buizel jump over them and Manaphy appears. Meanwhile, Palkia and Dialga are roaring, although they are in distant places; while Lucario is looking at them. Ash, Pikachu, and Brock are sitting on a giant Poké Ball, and Dawn is sitting in front of it. They all smile. These scenes repeat from the beginning to Ash and his friends chasing a Glameow down a narrow alley.
Synopsis of second version

Ash, Brock and all their Pokémon have fun together while Dawn sits besides a tree with Piplup who is sleeping. (While in the Winter version, She joins the others and Piplup seems to have awoken.) Ash, Brock, Dawn and all their Pokémon all play in the snow. Piplup, Pikachu and Dawn appear on the screen in rapid order. She smiles at the camera, and an image Dawn and her Pokémon appears. Dawn winks at the camera, and an image of Brock wearing a sombrero and maracas with his Pokémon. She is serious, then an image of Ash and his Pokémon appears. The group is running with a mountain backdrop, as the group jumps the background changes to a valley with a waterfall and rainbow. Dawn looks at the camera, then all of Ash, Dawn and Brock's Pokémon appears. She winks at the camera, then Team Rocket is seen crashing and falling down a hole. She is serious, then she appears jumping, with a Poké Ball in hand. Dawn, Ash and Brock are running again. Then, they, Team Rocket and all their Pokémon are smiling at the camera.
