Nintendo Cup '98 (Pokémon Stadium)

Nintendo Cup '98 (Japanese: ニンテンドウカップ'98 Nintendo Cup '98) is a Stadium Cup, which appears only in the Japanese release of the international version of Pokémon Stadium. It was based on the tournament of the same name.

The Cup has a level restriction, only allowing Pokémon between the levels of 1 and 30 to compete.

In this round, all the opponents except the first are shuffled into a random order each time the player challenges this cup. These opponents and their teams are modeled after the seven real-life finalists of a Pokémon Battle Tour event held at TV Tokyo in 1998, which was played out using the previous Stadium game.[1]
