Mega Charizard Y (Japanese: メガリザードンX Mega Lizardon Y) is a playable Pokémon in Pokémon UNITE. It became available as a playable character on December 19, 2025.

Mega Charizard Y is an All-Rounder that functions similarly to the regular Charizard, however it specializes only in the Flamethrower and Fire Blast move set, as they are the only moves it can learn. When Charizard Mega Evolves, its basic attacks are greatly enhanced and its moves are also enhanced. Unlike Mega Charizard X, it retains the ability to fly over terrain after using its Unite Move. It is also forced to hold the Charizardite Y as a held item.

Area	Description
Encircles opposing Pokémon in the area of effect in a vortex of fire. After this move hits, it deals damage over time and decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time.

Area	Description
Has the user blast intense, all-consuming fire, dealing damage over time to opposing Pokémon while the flames continue to burn on the ground and decreasing opposing Pokémon's movement speed for a short time. When the user Mega Evolves, this move's area of effect is increased. Upgrade: Increases damage dealt by this move.

Unite Move

	Seismic Slam アースクラッシャー Earth Crusher	Learned at Lv. 9
Sure Hit	Description
Has the user grab a Pokémon from the opposing team and slam it onto the ground from the air. After using this Unite Move, the user Mega Evolves and, for a set amount of time, can move freely over obstacles. When the user Mega Evolves, its moves and basic attacks are boosted. When the user is Mega Evolved, its basic attacks deal increased damage, can leave opposing Pokémon burned, and restore the user's HP when they hit an opposing Pokémon.

Holowear

Mega Charizard Y shares the same Holowear as Charizard, however Holowear is not visible when Charizard Mega Evolves.
