Release information

This card was included in the Fossil expansion as both a Holofoil and Non Holofoil card, first released in the Japanese Mystery of the Fossils expansion as a Holofoil card. The Non Holofoil print was later reprinted in the Legendary Collection expansion.

This card's Pokédex entry erroneously refers to the plural of Magnemite as Magnemites.

Sonic Boom, formatted on this card as Sonicboom, is a move in the Pokémon games that Magneton can learn. Self-Destruct, formatted on this card as Selfdestruct, is a move in the Pokémon games that Magneton cannot learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, though it is slightly reworded. The Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
