History

Croagunk and Looker

Diamond & Pearl arc

Croagunk first appeared in Double Trouble with Dialga and Palkia V alongside its Trainer, Looker. The two interrogated two scientists who had been hired by Team Galactic to guard Lake Valor, trying to find information about the location of Team Galactic members who had disappeared from Veilstone City. Gaining no information from the two scientists, Looker decided to leave, placing Croagunk in charge of guarding the police station.

Platinum arc

Croagunk reappeared in The Final Dimensional Duel XI, helping Looker arrest Charon. Croagunk helped its Trainer chase after the other Team Galactic commanders until Looker's superior contacted him and told him to call the mission off. Looker was ordered to head to Unova and investigate the activities of the Seven Sages. Looker and Croagunk then quickly head to Unova.

Black & White arc

Croagunk in the Pokémon League

In Into the Quarterfinals!, Looker appeared as a participant in the Pokémon League tournament, disguised as a man named Lou Karr. Looker used Croagunk as his first Pokémon in a 3-on-3 battle against Black's Tula in the quarterfinals. Due to Croagunk not being native to the Unova region, many of the spectators were unaware of what type of Pokémon it was. Black was able to deduce that his opponent was a Fighting type, but Tula was nevertheless nailed in place and poisoned by Croagunk's poison needles, allowing Croagunk to strike him repeatedly. Black was, however, able to make a comeback by having Tula pull his airborne Electroweb down onto Croagunk with his thread, shocking Croagunk and defeating it, making Black the winner of the battle.

With their defeat, the two immediately disappeared into the stands and began to look for one of the Seven Sages. The two reviewed their data of those participating in the League and find Gray to be the most suspicious. During the final match of the tournament, Looker discovered that Gray is a member of Team Plasma and had Croagunk quickly arrest him using the International Police Arm #10, Super Hard Tight Tape. After Team Plasma's arrival, Croagunk helped support Black by attacking N's Zekrom alongside Cedric Juniper's Samurott and Leo's Deino. Despite their combined efforts Zekrom easily pushed them aside.

Black 2 & White 2 arc

Croagunk and Looker arresting Giallo

After the battle against Team Plasma, Looker and Croagunk spent the next two years looking around the world for the Seven Sages. Having no success, the two return to Unova to continue their search and meet with Blake.

In Mr. Perfect, Blake had Croagunk test its skill in simulated training. Blake started Croagunk with just targets, where the Toxic Mouth Pokémon was able to hit all of the targets weak points. Blake then had Croagunk try while sand and fire flew around it, where it missed every shot, causing Blake to berate Looker. Immediately following the training, Team Plasma's Genesect began attacking Aspertia City. While Blake and his Dewott attacked the Paleozoic Pokémon, Looker and Croagunk went to secure the area.

In New Sword Player, after Blake defeated Team Plasma's Tornadus, Looker and Croagunk arrested Giallo.

In Angry Boy, Looker used Croagunk to contact Hugh and attempted to have him explain his connection to Team Plasma, but Hugh refused and ran away.

In Epilogue, Croagunk assisted in defeating Ghetsis's Pokémon on the Plasma Frigate. Soon after, the ship began to crash and Looker, getting a call from headquarters, failed to get onto Reshiram to escape. Right as they were about to crash, Croagunk pushed Looker towards Brav, who carried the two to safety.

Personality and characteristics

Croagunk is a powerful Pokémon, being Looker's main choice for any situation. Croagunk is highly trained, able to easily hit a Pokémon's weak spot.
