The Mega Evolution Pokédex (Japanese: メガシンカ図鑑 Mega Evolution Pokédex) is a section of the Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, available in both the Lumiose Pokédex and Hyperspace Pokédex. It contains entries for Mega Evolutions.
Overview
The Mega Evolution Pokédex contains all of the Mega Evolutions in the game (which can also be viewed in the regular Pokédex as alternate forms by pressing the right stick while viewing a Pokémon's entry). In order to register a Mega Evolution in the Mega Evolution Pokédex, the player must have obtained both the Pokémon and its corresponding Mega Stone. A "seen" entry can be obtained by seeing the Mega Evolution in battle. Like with other alternate forms, the complete Pokédex entry for a Mega Evolution can be unlocked simply by seeing it as long as the player has obtained any form of the Pokémon, but it will not be considered registered in the Mega Evolution Pokédex until the player obtains its Mega Stone. Once the player owns both the Pokémon and its Mega Stone, the Mega Evolution is registered automatically, even if the player has not seen it in battle. In the in-game Pokédex list, a circle is shown on each entry in the Mega Evolution Pokédex, which is filled in with the corresponding Mega Stone once it is obtained (except for Mega Rayquaza, whose entry lacks a circle due to it not having a Mega Stone).
Originally, a total of 68 Mega Evolutions were listed in the Mega Evolution Pokédex, 62 of which are directly available in the game and required for Mega Evolution Pokédex completion. With the release of Mega Dimension DLC, the total was increased to 93 Mega Evolutions listed in the updated Mega Evolution Pokédex, 81 of which are directly available in the game and required for Mega Evolution Pokédex completion.
Mega Garchomp Z, Mega Greninja, Mega Chesnaught, Mega Delphox, Mega Diancie, Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Mewtwo Y, Mega Baxcalibur, Mega Sceptile, Mega Blaziken, Mega Swampert, and Mega Zeraora from the Mega Evolution Pokédex are only available through Mystery Gift events or ranked battle season rewards and thus not required for Pokédex completion. No empty slots appear in the Pokédex for these Pokémon before their Mega Stones are obtained.
Raichu, Garchomp, Absol, Lucario, Charizard, and Mewtwo have completely separated entries in the Mega Evolution Pokédex for each of their Mega Evolutions, while Tatsugiri and Magearna instead have their different Mega-Evolved forms combined into a single entry where each form can be switched between like in the standard Pokédex.
The Mega Evolution Pokédex listing is not numbered, with the individual entries for each Pokémon instead displaying their Lumiose Pokédex or Hyperspace Pokédex numbers.

Trivia
- Containing 93 Mega Evolutions of which 87 are unique species of Pokémon, it is the smallest regional Pokédex by number of species to date.
- The Mega Evolution Pokédex is the only regional Pokédex in the core series to be expanded in an update within a single game.
- This the first Pokédex to dedicate solely to a specific form change.
