The following is a list of all of the Japanese language home video releases of Pocket Monsters.
VHS Rentals
Pocket Monsters for rental VHS is divided into four sets that were released by Media Factory and Shogakukan. It contains almost all of the 276 episodes between them.
Pocket Monsters
Pocket Monsters was released on VHS for rent by Media Factory and Shogakukan between 1997 and 1999. It consists of 27 volumes with 80 episodes across them combined.
Rougela's Christmas was released separately. It is included on a VHS along with the Pikachu short Pikachu's Summer Vacation.
Pocket Monsters Episode: Orange Islands
Pocket Monsters Episode: Orange Islands was released on VHS for rent by Media Factory and Shogakukan between 1999 and 2000. It consists of 12 volumes with 35 episodes across them combined.
Pikachu VS Nyarth!? was released separately. It is included on a VHS along with the Pikachu short Pikachu's Rescue Adventure.
Pocket Monsters Episode: Gold & Silver
Pocket Monsters Episode: Gold & Silver was released on VHS for rent by Media Factory and Shogakukan between 2000 and 2002. It consists of 36 volumes with 109 episodes across them combined.
Ringuma Shock!! and Where's Kakureon!? Huge Chaos Created By the Invisible Pokémon! were released separately. The former is included along with the Pikachu short Pichu and Pikachu, and the latter is included along with Pikachu's Exciting Hide-and-seek, both available on VHS and DVD.
Pocket Monsters: Gold and Silver Edition 2002
Pocket Monsters: Gold and Silver Edition 2002 was released on VHS for rent by Media Factory and Shogakukan between 2002 and 2003. It consists of 15 volumes with 43 episodes across them combined.
Pupurin Twins VS Purin! Singing Pokémon Concert! was released separately. It is included with the Pikachu short Pikapika Starry Sky Camp on both VHS and DVD.
