History
Background
Lida is the younger half-sister of Tierno, with the same father but different mothers, though she's never met him.[2] She grew up in the Hoenn region.[3] Lida was inspired by her half-brother to become a professional dancer. She got a scholarship to a dance school in Lumiose City, and initially lived in the city with a roommate. Her roommate signed on with a talent agency and moved out, leaving Lida worrying about how to pay her rent alone. It was then that Lida met Urbain/Taunie, who invited her to join Team MZ, and AZ allowed her to stay at Hotel Z.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A
During Main Mission 25: A Showdown on the Battle Court, Lida is given a Mega Ring and a Starminite by AZ.

Trivia
- Lida's relation to Tierno is heavily implied before it was officially confirmed, through their many shared traits:
- They both possess a strong interest in dancing, their hairstyles feature dark hair styled into three upward-pointing strands.
- Their partner Pokémon, Staryu and Corphish, are Water types that gain a secondary type upon evolving.
- Lida's Clawitzer could be seen as a counterpart to Tierno's Crawdaunt, as both are crustacean Pokémon.
- Their names suggest a thematic contrast: Lida's name in various languages is derived from words meaning "hard" or "rough", while Tierno's name likely comes from a word meaning "tender".
- Lida having the Vanillite line may refer to Tierno's shirt, which features a Vanillite.
- Lida's battle pose is the same one Tierno does in X and Y.
- Lida and Tierno are the first characters in the series to be related who are confirmed to be half siblings rather than full siblings.
- They are also the only siblings to have never met each other.
- The small pouch that Lida uses to carry her items during dance practice was handmade by Naveen.
- In Japanese, Lida speaks in the Kagoshima dialect while sleeptalking, which is spoken in the Kagoshima Prefecture in Kyushu. This parallels the fact that she is from the Hoenn region, which is partly based on Kyushu.
- Lida's partner Pokémon is her Staryu, which in Hoenn can only be found in Lilycove City. Lilycove City's location in Hoenn corresponds to the Kagoshima Prefecture.
- In the traditional Chinese localization, she speaks in a variety of Chinese that resembles Cantonese or Hakka. In the simplified Chinese localization, she speaks in Sichuanese Mandarin.
