• Before battle

"I'm Lian of the Pearl Clan. The warden to Kleavor, Lord of the Woods."

"And you—I've already deduced that you've come here to meet Kleavor. I'm right, aren't I?"

"Of course I am! I can see it so clearly. After all, the powerfully awesome Kleavor has become even more awesomely powerful!"

"Perhaps that strange lightning the other day was almighty Sinnoh's divine power... But whatever it was, it struck my lord and left him imbued with awesome might! So I must turn you away, even if it pains me. It's too dangerous for you to meet Kleavor right now."

I'll do anything!: "Oh! Such earnest desire to meet mighty Kleavor! I have to admit I'm struck by your passion..."

That's that, then: "Truly? You mean to simply give up?! Is your passion for Kleavor so paltry?!"

"But, well...I'm afraid your passion is not the real issue here... I've been told in no uncertain terms by Irida that I am to let no one near Kleavor!"

"I will fight you off myself if you insist. If you wish to avoid battle, withdraw now, while you still can! Or face the wrath of my Goomy!"

"You don't even realize I'm turning you away for your own safety! How sad you are... Go, Goomy, and see if you can ooze some good sense over this foolish troublemaker!"

• After being defeated

"H-how can this be..."

"I may've been defeated, but my point still stands! It's too dangerous to meet Kleavor now. The only welcome you'll get if you approach him is a flurry of devastating blows!"

"Normally, I'd simply try making him an offering... A nice heaped helping of his two favorite foods, served up with respect by his loyal warden— that's me, o' course—is usually enough to please him and soothe the prickliest of moods..."

"But even I, Kleavor's loyal warden, can't get close enough to give any offerings now—not with the way Kleavor is rampaging and running amok. There's nothing that an outsider like you can do."

"Irida? What are you doing here?"

"You! Stranger from beyond the sky! Tell me... Could you Galaxy people actually fix all this? Could an outsider actually find a way to quell our lord's frenzy?"

• If talked to again

"I'm not actually opposed to Kleavor remaining as powerful as he is now, but I suppose if Irida is bothered, then we must do something..."

• After the player obtains the Celestica Flute

"So you say that you Galaxy people came up with a method to try to quell Lord Kleavor's frenzy?"

"What? You'll mash up Kleavor's favorite foods into balls so you can THROW offerings at him?! Well, that's quite an unorthodox approach... You Galaxy people... Your inventiveness just blows me away! I mean, now you can make offerings to Lord Kleavor...from a safe distance!"

"I'll lend you my aid if it means we might provide Kleavor with his offering. Let's begin at once!"

"Gah! That's right! My apologies, Irida— I'd forgotten all about you!"

"There! A veritable mountain of balms! This should please Kleavor, if anything can..."

"Now then...ready yourself! And I will summon our mighty Kleavor, Lord of the Woods."

Let's not be hasty: "Are you serious?! After everything we readied for this moment, you're simply going to back out?! Outrageous!"

I'm ready!: "As am I!"

"Oh mighty Kleavor, Lord of the Woods... Though it isn't yet the time of ceremony, we've prepared an offering of your favorite things."

"Benevolent lord who works his might between the heavens and earth, we offer our gratitude. And beseech you—reveal yourself to our eyes..."

• After the player quells Kleavor's frenzy

"Wh-what happened?!"

"Some kind of light erupted from Kleavor's body!"

"Has Lord Kleavor's frenzied mind truly been put at ease now?!"

"The lightning came from the space-time rift?"

"But if almighty Sinnoh really does dwell beyond that space-time rift, then the strange lightning... It indeed was almighty Sinnoh's power?!"

"Then were we even right to try to interfere? I happily went along with this plan to create some balms, as if I knew what I was doing—like some kind of thoughtless fool! Outrageous!"

"Hrmmm... Yes. Fine. I suppose I must concur. I apologize for becoming briefly incomposed. I'm grateful for what you've done for my lord."

"And it seems we've settled things here. Though, between you and me... I wouldn't mind seeing Lord Kleavor in such a frenzy again. He was fearfully strong, after all!"

Mission 10 - "The Lordless Island"

Jubilife Village (Front gate)

"Ah, if it isn't <player>."

"Though I suppose it's to be expected that I'd run into you in the village. Where are you going to study Pokémon next?"

The Cobalt Coastlands: "Oh, the Cobalt Coastlands? Palina's certainly in a bit of a situation over there."

Firespit Island: "Oh, Firespit Island? Perhaps you'll run into our Palina. She's in a bit of a situation over there."

"She's a warden, and yet she has no noble to see to.

"There are even some people in the Pearl Clan that speak ill of her, though not to her face."

"Oh, but do forgive me. Perhaps I shouldn't be airing dirty laundry. A piece of advice, then, as an apology for wasting your time!"

"Some Pokémon are strongly affected by certain stones, which hold mysterious power. With the right stone, you can even evolve some Pokémon. You need look no further than Kleavor for proof of that!"

"What I'm trying to say is basically this: if you and the Survey Corps want to learn all there is to know about the Pokémon of this region...then the stones you find throughout Hisui will be very important. There's even a tale of a stone that contains the power of creation—the very same power almighty Sinnoh used to create the universe!"

"I trust you'll take my advice to heart and not underestimate how important stones can be. To help grind this fact into you... Here. I'll give you some rather handy stones and things I found."

"And should you want some stones that can help Pokémon evolve, I believe the Ginkgo Guild has them from time to time!"

Mission 13 - "Disaster Looming"

"Look at the size of that rift! If lightning starts pouring form it, all the Pokémon in Hisui could be thrown into a frenzy! The entire clan is in panic now!"

"I should have know that the only thing that could come from that rift was disaster..."

I need help: "Help?! Ah. Well. That's not exactly something I can do. It's not that I wouldn't like to help you...but it would put Irida in a difficult position."

Never mind, then...: "Is that really all you came to say? Look... You needn't try to put on a brave face. You've been a help to the Pearl Clan, and we know what kind of person you are. Though, it must be said—for every sympathetic ear you might find there, you may also find a detractor who fears your presence..."

"I truly do wish that I could repay you for quelling Kleavor's frenzy as you did. You must know that. But there's nothing I alone can do for you."

"Warden Mai might be able to help you, though. She's a caring woman, after all."

"You'll most likely find Mai at the Worn Bridge. I believe it's a very significant place for her."

"I'm certain that somewhere in the vastness of Hisui, there is a place for you as well."

Mission 18 - "The Counterpart"

Coronet Highlands (Summit Camp)

"Hisui's ores and stones are her precious resource! Since I was the first to realize that fact, it's only natural that I should be the first consulted!"

"If you have a problem with it, perhaps would like to take it up with Kleavor in battle? With that bumbling ball of yours?"

"Certainly!"

"Then let us set out at once... We make for the Primeval Grotto!"

"Taking into consideration my knowledge of ores, my skill at mining, and the strength of my Sliggoo's moves... I think you'd better leave any extraction work up to us, wouldn't you say?"

"I was able to extract some of that "Origin Ore," or whatever it is you wish to call it. I suppose it had better go with you, <player>."

"No, you simply fail to recognize my skill. You ought to be praising my hard work! Honestly."

Request 99 - "Tricky Treat Strategy"

Alabaster Icelands (Snowfields or Icepeak Camp)

"<player>!"

"I had a visit from Melli. He came all the way just to boast about giving you some Aguav Berries. He said you lit up with with so much joy that your smile nearly split your face. I can't imagine that was the case—I'm sure it was a confused grimace, or a smile you merely forced yourself to give him out of pity. But... I still can't let myself be outdone by him."

"So I've been looking for you all over Hisui. To give you this: my very own reward to you! It is, naturally, far superior to anything Melli can offer."

"Oh, and I did see one of those massive mass outbreaks on my way here to find you... I wonder if they might be caused by the geology of the place where they occur? Perhaps there is some mysterious kind of stone in the ground which draws Pokémon near..."

"Oh! And I had a message for you form Mai! She would like to meet you in Jubilife Village."

Regardless of choice: "Yes, she's been waiting there for you. Though I suppose it's more accurate to say that she's been chatting away with Tsumugi from the Security Corps about Bidoof."

"As for me, I think I may visit the hot springs since I've come all this way. Do be careful of any massive mass outbreaks as you head back—strong Pokémon might appear!"

Request 101 - "Massive Mass Outbreak in the Icelands"

"And even for someone with your skill, <player>, it will take a long time to check so many areas by yourself."

"Certainly! So to sum up, <player> will focus on just three areas, as he's/she's been doing till now. Meanwhile, Sliggoo and I will handle the remaining areas."

"Kleavor, my mighty Lord of the Woods, seems to be in fine form today. After all, he's managed to make that frenzied might his own to wield!"

"What have you come here to do?"

Nothing, really: "Hmph. Got cold feet, did you?"

"Not injured too badly, I hope? I took the liberty of tending to your Pokémon for you, at least. My lord, Kleavor, is no easy opponent. Let me know if want to face him again."

"Unbelievable!"

"With that, you've set a new record. I suppose I should offer my congratulations."

"I think you deserve this reward."

"And here's something extra from me."

"My lord, Kleavor, seems to enjoy his battles with you. Should you wish to challenge him again, we'll welcome you anytime."
