Appearance
Lacey is a young woman with pale skin, pink hair, and hazel eyes. She has pink and green pins in her hair, near her ears. She wears a long lavender coat with sashes around the arms with decoration resembling fairy wings over the BB Autumn Uniform. She wears white sneakers.
History
Background
Lacey is a girl who likes cute Pokémon, which led to her becoming a Trainer of Fairy types. Her father is Driftveil City Gym Leader Clay,[2] with whom she shares the same ace Pokémon. When interacting with Nemona in the League Club Room, she and Lacey are revealed to know each other, with Nemona having battled her father in the middle of a fancy party.[2] She has a habit of crossing her arms in an X-formation to show her disapproval whenever she disagrees with something. She is ranked as the second-strongest member of the Elite Four at Blueberry Academy, situated at Coastal Plaza.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The Indigo Disk
Lacey is the first person the player meets upon their arrival at Blueberry Academy, giving the player their first battle there and introducing them to the Terarium and Blueberry Quests. Later, she is met at the Blueberry Academy Cafeteria, where she votes against Drayton's proposition of letting the player participate in the BB League, unwilling to pull the player into the League Club's ongoing drama, but is ultimately outvoted. Her Elite Trial is a Pokémon quiz consisting of five questions that the player must answer correctly. If the player answers the same question incorrectly twice in a row, they must battle a League Club member before they can continue. After the trial has been cleared, Lacey can be battled. She rewards the player with TM227 (Alluring Voice) upon being beaten.
After the player has caught Terapagos, Lacey can occasionally be found in the League Club Room, where she offers to rematch the player once a day.
Pokémon
Lacey keeps her Pokémon in Nest Balls.
First battle
Winning this battle is not mandatory. The player will not black out and the story will progress either way.
Subsequent battles
Lacey uses this team in both her Elite Four battle and when challenged at the League Club Room. She sends out her Excadrill last and will Terastallize it at the first opportunity.
Traded to the player
Upon the third unique interaction with Lacey in the League Club Room, she will trade a Snubbull to the player in exchange for almost any Pokémon excluding Shiny, Legendary, or Mythical Pokémon.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series
Rising Again
Lacey debuted in HZ115 where she had a Double Battle against Ann, pitting her Plusle and Minun against Ann's Samurott and Sandslash. Thanks to her ingenious Double Battle strategies, Lacey was able to ultimately knock out Ann's Pokémon to secure the victory. Once the Rising Volt Tacklers arrived at Blueberry Academy, Lacey greeted the group and gave them a brief summary on the reason why the academy was located in the middle of the sea. After Cyrano pleaded with her to give the Rising Volt Tacklers a tour of the academy, Lacey accepted and showed them the school's Terarium and its resources. She later referee'd the Double Battle between Roy and Nemona, which the latter would ultimately win.
In HZ116, Lacey challenged Ult to a battle which took place during the next episode. She used her Excadrill to battle against his Sableye and was able to win after Terastallizing it into a Fairy-type and knocking Sableye out with a Tera Blast. Soon after, Lacey and Ult had a conversation about their parents and how they influenced who they wanted to be. This motivated Ult to connect with his Dragonite, and thus Ult was able to work with Dragonite to defeat an Alolan Exeggutor.
In HZ119, Lacey watched Roy's rematch against Drayton. Some time later, Lacey said goodbye to the Rising Volt Tacklers. When saying goodbye to Ult, he thanked her for everything she had done for him, and Lacey promised to send him new quizzes.
Character

Lacey is a sweet and kindhearted girl, greeting the Rising Volt Tacklers with great enthusiasm and politeness. She also has a vast knowledge about Blueberry Academy and its resources, including the reason for the academy's location being in the middle of the sea. Because of her natural responsible nature, Lacey is often tasked with giving guests a tour of the academy despite this being the duties of the principal, which often causes her to become comically annoyed with Cyrano's forgetful nature as this forces her to execute tasks in his stead. As a member of Blueberry Academy's BB League, Lacey is an exceptionally powerful Pokémon Trainer, having a particular talent for Double Battles, during which she develops strategies to not only damage her opponents, but also either power-up or heal her own Pokémon simultaneously. Just like her game counterpart, Lacey has a habit of crossing her arms in an X-shape to show her disapproval whenever she disagrees with something.
Lacey showed a particular interest in Ult's training, partly motivated by their shared past with their parents; through this, Lacey managed to teach him how to create a stronger bond with his Dragonite. Lacey has great admiration for her father, which was the main reason she wanted to become a stronger Trainer. This admiration even extended to her choice of her main Pokémon.

- Main article: Lacey (Stellar Crown 139)
Lacey is introduced as a Supporter card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English Scarlet & Violet Series (the Japanese Scarlet & Violet Era). It was first released in the Japanese Stellar Miracle expansion and the English Stellar Crown expansion, with artwork by Sanosuke Sakuma. An ultra rare version with artwork by the same illustrator and a special illustration rare version of the card illustrated by Souichirou Gunjima were released in the same sets. It allows the player to shuffle their hand into their deck and draw 4 cards, or 8 cards if their opponent has 3 or fewer Prize cards remaining.
Trivia
- The French official website for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet misspelled Lacey's French name (Taro) as "Tara" in the subheading for her.[7][8] This error was fixed as of September 11, 2023.[9]
- Lacey is the first Elite Four member to specialize in Fairy-type Pokémon.
- Lacey is the only member of the BB Elite Four whose designated Terastallized Pokémon is not of her specialty type prior to being Terastallized. It is also the only such Pokémon to be first discovered in Unova.
- Lacey is also the only member of the BB Elite Four to use more than one Pokémon not of her specialty type.
- While Lacey refers to her usage of Plusle and Minun in her first battle as her "Plus-Minus strategy", they each have their Hidden Abilities Lightning Rod and Volt Absorb rather than Plus and Minus, respectively, and her strategy relies on using Discharge to trigger them.
- Lacey's Rotom Phone uses a Fairy Case.
