Trivia

  • Excluding sync pairs with Pokémon able to evolve, Kieran & Hydrapple is the first sync pair whose sync move type does not correspond to one of his Pokémon's base types.
    • However, it does match his Hydrapple's Tera Type from the core series games.
  • All versions of Kieran use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers include Florian, Juliana, Carmine, and Lacey.
  • Kieran shares similarities to Juliana:
    • Both are Fighting-type sync pairs from the Master Fair Scout with Tech EX Role.
    • Both (alongside Florian) were released to commemorate a run-up to an anniversary event (5.5th Anniversary and 6th Anniversary respectively).
    • Both of their original sync pairs create sunny weather (Juliana's Koraidon uses Hungry Pulse while Kieran's Hydrapple uses Red-Ripe Sunny Day).
    • Both of their respective normal attires depict them holding a Poké Ball.

Origin

Kieran's design is based on his appearance in The Indigo Disk expansion of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Hydrapple is Kieran's signature Pokémon when battling the player at Blueberry Academy, where it is also capable of Terastallizing into a Fighting-type. Hydrapple's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Violet.
