Jigsaw puzzle
There are several jigsaw puzzles in Pokémon media.
In the core series games
Pokémon Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold, and SoulSilver
- Main article: Ruins of Alph → Puzzle chambers
In Pokémon Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold, and SoulSilver, the Ruins of Alph feature four jigsaw puzzles with images of Pokémon: Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Ho-Oh, and Omanyte. When each of them is solved, the floor below the player breaks, dropping the player into the underground hall of the ruins. Solving each puzzle causes certain Unown forms to appear as wild Pokémon in the ruins.
